The Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine will host its Annual Aesthetic Medicine Congress at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on June 14 and 15, 2020. This congress will provide a forum to discuss new ideas and topics in the field of aesthetic medicine.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, an increasing number of people are becoming interested in receiving cosmetic procedures. With over 17 million people undergoing non-surgical cosmetic surgery in North America today, cosmetic injectors are searching for the most up-to-date techniques and products for their practice. The CBAM Aesthetic Medicine Congress 2020 is the perfect opportunity to learn about the newest technologies in the field of aesthetic medicine and also to network with other healthcare professionals in this field.

With over a decade of recognized aesthetic practice, Dr. Reza Akef is a leading cosmetic physician as well as an internationally recognized specialist in non-surgical cosmetic procedures. He is board certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada in both Family and Emergency Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Akef is deeply involved in interventional pain clinic co-operation for the treatment of Migraines, chronic pain, TMJ, Myofascial pain, and Fibromyalgia.



Dr. Christina Plaskos received her HBSC of Pharmacology as well as her medical degree from the University of Toronto. Her dedication to total health and wellness motivated her to further develop her education. She is board certified in Anti-Aging Regenerative Medicine and has a Fellowship in Metabolic + Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida.



Gerald Boey has been practicing in Vancouver, British Columbia for 24 years.  Dr. Boey is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan where he did research in Biophysics, obtaining a B.Sc. (Med) before graduating from Medicine in 1978.  He has held various university teaching appointments and has been in private practice, specializing in cutaneous laser surgery since 1987. He opened Saskatchewan’s first laser centre in l987, and the first in Vancouver in l992.

Once you have completed your abstract submission, you will receive the results of the assessment and acceptance status no later than 30 days from the date of submission. If your abstract is selected, you will receive your payments and all necessary instructions.

Visa Requirements

Visa invitation letter for international attendees is available for an additional CAD $200 fee. 

Please note that discounted ticket prices for any CBAM events are only available for Canadian practitioners. International attendees who require an invitation letter for immigration or visa application purposes must pay the full event fee in advance, PLUS a $200 processing fee.
