Much effort has been taken to ensure the safety and advisability of the information presented by the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM). All procedures are taught within the standards set out by the College of Physicians, the Surgeons of Ontario, and the College of Nurses of Ontario. With any medical procedure, there is always a risk of injury when performing any type of intervention. The risk of injury increases when a procedure is performed without judicious precautions, negligence on the providers behalf, and/or when the recipient of the intervention has unique biological or other factors that make them more vulnerable to negative reactions. Additionally, it is possible for clients to unexpectedly have an adverse reaction where their overall health becomes compromised during or after completion of their treatment.
By attending this course you certify to the following attestation when you register with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine:
If you engage in any technique you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself or others, abiding by the standards of practice of your governing college, and agree to release and discharge the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of negligence or malpractice. You agree that only you are responsible for the actions you take as a result of the learning material acquired from this course. You agree that the above mentioned workshop/course, offered by the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and associated instructors, authors and staff are not responsible for the decisions you make and/or the actions you take. If you are not a qualified Healthcare Practitioner to diagnose conditions, you agree and are obligated to refer your clients to appropriate healthcare practitioners. The courses are meant to provide basic assessment abilities. A thorough Health History Assessment is highly recommended. You hereby release Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and other associated instructors, authors and staff from any and all liability of any kind, directly or indirectly related to the learning material provided to you through in class and online materials. You agree that you are in good health to participate in any hand- on activities during the class. You also agree that all videos and images taken in courses can be shared by the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine for educational and marketing purposes for the benefit of other healthcare practitioners in the field.
