The CBAM Diploma Program Structure in the UAE Centre (IMA)
Step 1 and 2
(UAE Centre)
Steps 1 and 2 (CBAM Diploma Program) in Dubai is delivered through 3 modules usually within 3 months. After successful completion of these 3 modules, the applicant will receive the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (After receiving the Diploma, they also become eligible to register for Step 3 if they would like to become Board Certified in Aesthetic Medicine.)
Here are the 3 Modules:
Module 1
2 days: Basic Injectables (Botox and Fillers)
This Module includes online theory, a virtual training session and hands-on training on live models at the local centre.

Module 2
2 days: PRP, Mesotherapy, Laser Treatments, Chemical Peel
Module 2 includes online theory and hands-on training at the local centre.
- PRP & basic mesotherapy online materials (check the lessons)
- Basic laser online materials (check the lessons)
- Chemical peel online materials (check the lessons)
Module 3
2 days: Advanced Injectables
Module 3 consists of online theory, and hands-on training on Advanced Injectables.
- Advanced Botox and Fillers (check the lessons)
- Live virtual sessions – Advanced Injectables (Upcoming dates)
After completing all the modules, the students have to complete the MCQ online exam. The questions in this exam include all the materials which are taught online and also during in-class programs.
Note: Your access to the online materials will remain until 6 months after the beginning of each module.
After completion of this activity, your faculty(ies) will sign your evaluation sheet and submit to the CBAM head office.
At this point, the graduates will receive a certificate as Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (This diploma will be available online for the graduates to print in a high quality and add it to their profile*)
* The hard copy version of this diploma can also be issued and sent to the student from the CBAM head office. The fee for the hard copy diploma and mail to the graduate’s address is $90 USD.
Please note: At this stage, the name of the applicant will not appear on CBAM website, unless completing the Step 3 as well.
Notes: According to the DHA regulations and based on the results of the needs analysis carried out by the CBAM UAE centre, the following adjustments were applied to the CBAM Diploma Program in the UAE.
- Laser treatments in Module 2 include hands on training on Nd Yag long pulsed for Vascular indications and Q Switch Nd Yag for tattoo removal/rejuvenation and hair bleaching.
- Module 3 (Advanced Injectables) does not cover Migraine headaches as it is related to the Neurology field. Indications of the aging in the neck area are covered in this Module, instead.

A Road to Aesthetic Designations
Step 3, the last stage of the CBAM International Board Certification Program, is designed for the aesthetic physicians and practitioners who have completed the CBAM Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine Program (Step 1 and 2) at one of the CBAM international centres around the world, or for the specialists who would like to apply for the Fast track Board certification process.
By demanding the applicants to have sufficient exposure to academic sources and multiple sessions of practice on live models, the purpose of Step 3 is to help the CBAM Diploma holders to expand their academic knowledge and hands-on experience in the field even further.
By completing Step 3 successfully, the applicants become CBAM Board Certified and their names are displayed on the CBAM official website.
