Practice Sessions: Botox® and Filler

(Former Advanced Injector Program)

​​Prerequisites:

You must complete the CBAM 2-day Basic Injectables Program (Basic Botox® and Filler) or Equivalent (Approval by CBAM admin team is required.)

   You must complete the online materials of Advanced Injectable course before attending any of the Practice Sessions (see lessons)

You must treat at least 10 patients in injectables for basic indications (Botox®: upper face and/or Filler: cheek and lips)*

*All students will need to provide the records of at least 10 patients injection collectively for basic injectable treatments (Botox®: upper face and/or Filler: cheek and lips) in order to be able to inject on live models during the practice Sessions for intermediate or advanced techniques. If not completed, they might be able to reach this number during the practice Sessions by performing more basic injectable procedures. During practice Sessions, students can inject the patients based on instructors’ discretion.

Important Note:

All students are required to complete at least 2 advanced virtual training after the 2-Day Basic Injectables course in order to get qualified to attend any practice Sessions. Please note that you are welcome to book a practice Sessions pending the completion of 2 advanced virtual training.

If you don’t complete any of the 2 advanced virtual training sessions, your practice Sessions will be automatically canceled.

Note: In order to receive your designation (Board certification for doctors and NPs OR CAMP certification for nurses), as one of the requirements, you must complete all 4 advanced virtual training sessions (at least once for each topic)

What is the Practice Sessions: Botox® and Filler (Intermediate and Advanced Levels)?

Note: This course was formerly offered as a 2 days Advaced Injectable Course. Under CBAM packages, now we have the luxury of offering this course as single days repeated many times for the period of the package.

Practice Sessions is a full day event designed for CBAM students to practice on live models, see multiple live demonstrations and also improve their consultation/client management skills.

The class hours include combination of workshops and practice on live models.

The workshops cover the following topics:

  •  Workshop of facial anatomy review (required for cosmetic injectables)
  •  Consent processing and post-care instructions
  •  Facial analysis and evaluation
  • Patient consultation
  •  Emergency kit
  •  Selection of right product (for fillers)
  •  Management of Complications
  •  Interactive Case studies
  •  Patient pictures and records

The practice on live models:

  • Students are working in stations of 4-5 per one instructor.
  • Students rotate between the stations to get the most benefits from multiple instructors.
  • The live models arrive at each station and the students interview, assess, make a treatment plan and apply the injection techniques for each model under the supervision of instructors.
  • The students go through the consent form when the model arrives and also go through the post-treatment instructions before the model leaves.
  • The students learn and practice how to record the treatment notes, before and after pictures and other documentations.

    • Beauty and Anti-aging consultation for all patients
    • Learn how to provide a comprehensive aesthetic treatment plan for all clients (including Skin treatments advise, injectables plan and non-injectables treatments)

How it works?

Eligibility criteria: 

  1. The registrant has completed the CBAM 2-day Basic injectable program (or equivalent)
  2. The registrant has injected at least 10 patients* (procedures) for the basic injectable treatments (Upper face Botox® and/or midface, cheek and lips fillers)

 * All the patients have been injected during the CBAM Basic injectable course are also calculated towards this number.

Online Materials:

All registrants must complete the online materials of Basic injectable course (see the lessons) and also Advanced injectable course (see the lessons) and pass the exams successfully for both courses (70% passing mark) before attending the practice Sessions.

Who has access to these materials?

  • The students who register for a package (Board Certified or CAMP Certified), will have access to the online materials for the period of their package (6 months).
  • The students who register for the 2 individual Practice Sessions will have access to the online materials from the day of registration until 3 months after the date of last Practice Session.

Actual Practice Session:

These practice Sessions are designed as 3-hour sessions for CBAM students to have opportunity for a countless practice on live models. During the session, the students are divided into the small groups of 4-5 students per instructor and practice on live models. When the time allows, they also have a chance to switch between the stations to learn from multiple instructors on the same day.

How to book for Advanced Practice Sessions?

  • The students who have completed a basic injectables course elsewhere, they may get approved to register for a minimum 2 Advanced Practice Sessions for a fee. In this case, they can select 2 days and participate. If this applies to you, click here to apply.
  • The students who register for a package (Board Certified or CAMP Certified), will have access to all the  Practice Sessions in all cities. They are also able to repeat the Practice Sessions as much as they want, as long as they are within their package period. See the calendar of courses
