Fully Hands-on
All students will have access to the online materials of the “Review of Facial Anatomy” and they are all required to watch this material before attending the hands-on cadaver lab. (click here to see the online lessons)
The cadaver lab itself, includes 3 hour in-lab including hands-on practice on fresh tissue dissected cephalous. The instructors will review the details of layer-by-layer anatomy (skin, fat compartments, muscles, periosteum) with the attendees including the review of blood vessels and nerves. The students will have a chance to practice multiple injection techniques into the cadaver (with colored dyes) and observe the result of their injections.

Outline of the course :
Course Objectives:
Employ appropriate anatomical terminology
Identify major muscular, vascular, and nervous structures in the head and neck region
Identify anatomical locations of needles and topography of injection sites
Identify the correct placement and injection techniques in relation to the underlying facial anatomy, through inspection and discussion.
Topics covered:
Facial and Masticator Muscles
Head and Neck Superficial Blood Vessels
Head and Neck Superficial Nerves
Dissection of real cadaver cephalous (there are multiple heads available to practice on)
Anatomical locations of the needles and cannula and topography of the injection sites with dye on cadavers
Course includes:
Theory-based review of facial anatomy
Dissection of facial anatomy of a fresh cadaver
Hands on practice with live injection points into cadaver
Certificate of Completion

How it works?
This course is delivered in 3 Steps:
Step 1
Review the Online Materials
After the registration, you will get access to the online materials from the day of registration until 3 months after the date of in-lab session.
Step 2
Hands-on Practice Day
The course is delivered in lab for 3 hours where the students practice on fresh cadaver tissue under the supervision of expert instructors.
Step 3
Online Examination
After completion of the lab day, the students will be prompted to download their personalized Certificate of Completion to be added to their profile.
