FACIAL ANATOMY CADAVER LAB
Course Objectives:
✓ Employ appropriate anatomical terminology
✓ Identify major muscular, vascular, and nervous structures in the head and neck region
✓ Identify anatomical locations of needles and topography of injection sites
✓ Identify the correct placement and injection techniques in relation to the underlying facial anatomy, through inspection and discussion
Topics covered in class include:
- Facial and Masticator Muscles
- Head and Neck Superficial Blood Vessels
- Head and Neck Superficial Nerves
- Dissection of real cadaver cephalous (there are multiple heads available to practice on)
- Anatomical locations of the needles and cannula and topography of the injection sites with dye on cadavers
Course includes:
- Theory-based review of facial anatomy
- Dissection of facial anatomy of a fresh cadaver
- Hands on practice with live injection points into cadaver
- Certificate of Completion

About Dr. Torgerson
Dr Cory Torgerson (MD, PhD, FRCSC) is a well known leader in Facial Plastic Surgery, specializing in both surgical and non-surgical treatments for all things face!
He completed his PhD in Neuroscience in Calgary before studying Medicine at the University of Toronto. But, his passion for the science of beauty drove him towards Head and Neck Surgery, and finally a Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery from the University of Toronto.
Operating out of his own boutique, state of the art surgical facility in the heart of Yorkville, (Toronto, Canada), Dr Torgerson offers the latest multimodal facial rejuvenation treatment options, as well as running one of the busiest hair transplant clinics in the country.
Having a broad research background, Dr Torgerson has travelled extensively around the world, training, mentoring and presenting new treatment breakthroughs, techniques and innovations.
Dr Torgerson is Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He holds a fellowship of Facial Plastic Surgery from the University of Toronto and is staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center.
He is a member of both the Canadian and American Society of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Ahmad Nosrati Inanlou, an Iranian board certified dermatologist, started his career in dermatology and skin surgery in 1994 and got interested in aesthetic treatments as this newly discipline got developed. He has participated in many workshops and training courses in different aspects of aesthetics and regenerative medicine especially in the field of injectables and during long career in Iran and Dubai, UAE, got a vast experience in this field. About Dr. Brandt
Dr. Michael Brandt is an award-winning facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon known for his timeless natural results and dedicated patient care.
As an exceptional academic, Dr. Brandt has received national and international recognition for both teaching and research. After specializing in Head and Neck Surgery (Otolaryngology) at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, he received the top international fellowship in facial plastic surgery. Dr. Brandt has trained at the University of Michigan under the world-renowned Dr. Shan Baker (the surgeon who wrote the reconstructive facial plastic surgery textbook). Over his career, Dr. Brandt has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in various medical journals and is a sought-after lecturer.
Dr. Brandt has worked in several hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area and now lives and practices in Toronto. He has an active cosmetic and medical practice and dedicates much of his surgical career to facial rejuvenation procedures and skin cancers of face management. He prides himself on providing meticulous and professional medical care focusing on safety and achieving natural results.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Brandt is an Assistant Professor in the University of Toronto’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He also sits on several national professional committees.
